The Watery Journey
Crystal clear, as you fall through the sky,
With a splash, your droplet form dies.
With your continuous death, you form into a puddle,
Your heart is now frozen, but the sunlight wants to cuddle.
With the warmth of her love, you begin to melt,
And trickled down the mountain sides, your rush we felt.
With a flow so transparent,
With a flow so free;
Flowers grew by your bedside and invited trees.
Your long, free flow came to an end,
Slowed down your progress as the meander bends.
Flowing to sleep, you hit the brake,
Retirement took the form of a lake.
A blanket slowly forms, as the leaves of neighbouring trees fell;
You created a glorious habitat,
where abundance of fishes dwell.
So calm and relaxing, as you sparkle in the sunlight,
You're even more majestic, when we capture you in the moonlight.
Now here comes the drought, that evaporates you into the skies,
Leaving the land bare and all aquatic life dies.
But rest assure, within the clouds she lies,
About to be reborn as soon as the cloud cries.
Your journey has not ended, but merely as just begun,
So we'll read from the beginning as your journey continues to run.
