Battles Inside

Fighting, but those demons won't leave you alone,
Leaving you depressed, feeling like a stone.
In a house, that doesn't feel like a home,
Where strife is abundant and hate tends to roam.
With every rising morning, history repeats itself,
Which urges you to take the pills from every shelf.
Throw them down your throat and hope for the best,
Knowing it will all be over, the moment you're laid to rest.
Parents brought you into this world, but it feels like they wanna take you out,
Hurts so badly, only your tears tend to shout.

"You are Special" but you have your doubts,
For you've already been stabbed by those who uttered the very same from their mouths.
Stressed, frustrated and depressed is an understatement,
It's like your in the attic, but trapped in the basement.
You just want to be free as a river, and let your life flow,
But your life is like a fig tree, from you, others happiness grows.
You always try to help people, but what about you,
Aren't you deserving of the same cough syrup to treat your flu?
Take control of your life, those times are ancient,
You've been the doctor far too long, it's time to be the patient.
