Someone said, they wanted to leave the earth
So I said, have fun on the moon!
It feels so wrong
Yet it feels so right
The moon is dark and lonely, yet it's full of such light
So tempting it is
Yet the earth is brighter, yet so much darker
Full of colours of rainbows or rocks and stars
I see the moon from afar and wonder what it's like
I reach out for it
I just want a simple taste
Yet gravity is pulling me back down
I yell and scream, I want to he on the moon!
They say no, stay on earth, earth where you aren't so alone
With all your friends and family
But the moon, I say
Soon, they say
When you are as grey as the rocks and no longer as bright as the stars, you may reach for the moon
Until then stay with the rainbows and oceans
But the moon is so tempting
I back down and stay with the colour
Ruining the moons temptation
