I am that ordinary girl
Whom you see almost everyday.
I am the girl with simple looks
And spectacles on her eyes
But I am not a geek.
Will you spare some time from
Your busy life to think about me?

I am the girl who loves
The warm winter afternoons and
The cool summer evenings.
I love the silent sea shores with
The only sound being that of the waves,
And the fragrance of the earth
After the first shower of the rain.
But I am not a naturalist.
I love to climb mountains and
To admire historical monuments.
Though I am not a traveller but
Will you travel with me once to the world of dreams and hopes?

I don't like rock concerts
But in solitude I listen to music,
Music that is both soothing
As well as screeching.
I don't know how to cook
But that never stops me from
Experimenting in kitchen.
I am not a scholar
But I study to gain knowledge.
I am a great fan of literature
But I am not a critique.
Though I am not an artist but
Will you draw with me the art of living on the canvas of life?

I am calm from the outside
But a tornado on the inside.
Will you dare to experience that turmoil?
Just like all homo sapiens
I have my insecurities and sentiments.
I smile when happy and cry when sad.
Will you allow me to share my smiles and tears with you?
My heart knows not to hate
But to love,
Will you admire the love that I have for you?
You are not my first nor am I yours,
But will you take this oath with me to be each other's last?
I feel your love and affection
in every gesture and action of yours.
Will you take out some time from your busy life to propose me?

Whoa! Seems like love is in the air! From a long time I was thinking about uploading a romantic poem but I was scared of criticism. Finally, I did it. Cheers to me.
