Share a few moments
of fun and laughter with me,
that's all I ask for,
but if you look deep within my eyes
my soul would melt into yours.

You may smile with me
when I smile at you,
without trying to look past
the artificiality of that smile,
but if you hold my hand
and try to understand me
then maybe my soul would smile too.

Spend these transient
moments with me today
and forget me tomorrow,
I swear I'll nourish no sorrow,
but if you wish to stand by me till
the dusk gives way to dawn
and the dawn fades into the dusk,
then I'll know my search has ended.
Kiss me now,
leave me never,
and I'll love you forever.
