As you walk into the endless night,
your heart beats get fastened,
you look around
and all you can see are
thick bushes, ill-shaped trees and swampy lands.
Your palms get sweaty
and you search the sky for the moon
which is nowhere to be seen.
Insecurities start to
build up inside you.

A wind blows
sending chills down your spine
and you cry out for help.
But even your own voice sounds unfamiliar,
and, suddenly you feel someone's presence.
You look in every direction
but your eyes meet nobody,
neither do your ears.

Darkness stares back at you,
and silence screams in your ears.
You heart still confirms somebody's presence.
Your breath becomes heavy.
You feel the silence getting eerie,
then out of nowhere you hear a whisper,
"Welcome to the abode of darkness!"

Poet's Note:
Thought of trying something new and different, hence, came up with this poem which is full of descriptions, imagery, and other literary devices. A poet is incomplete if his/ her poems don't have versatility. Isn't it, guys?
