THE BATHING BELLE

A Victorian Bathing Belle is

something I would like to be.

I'd climb down from the bathing hut

and dip my toes into the sea.

I want to be a Bathing Belle

I don't know why, it's hard to tell.

But, Oh, I do, I think I know

to be decked out from head to toe

in a stripey costume, very frilly

with a little mob cap, oh so, pretty.

Can I buy one, do you know?

Because I'd really love to go

to my local swimming pool

looking 'Victorian' bathing cool!

Well, I did warn you that I wasn't

quite normal! I think this sort of

swimming costume would hide

all the lumps and bumps that

I now have and it would suit me

fine! Ha, ha.
