Waiting For Him

Poem- 8

Sia stood by the willow tree,
A heart of hope, wild and free.
She dreamed of Sean, her distant flame,
Whose name her whispers softly claim.

“I’ll tell him when he comes back home,
No longer in lands where he does roam.”
But seasons changed, and years rolled by,
The dreams of love began to die.

Her heart still burned, her words unspoken,
A vow of love that stayed unbroken.
The world moved on; she stood alone,
The echoes of his name, her tone.

Then one day, a decade gone,
She saw the face of her dear Sean.
With joy at first, her spirit soared,
Until she saw who he adored.

Beside him stood his cherished bride,
A love fulfilled, with nothing to hide.
Her silent tears began to stream,
Shattering her long-held dream.

Now Sia walks beneath the skies,
With empty hands and quiet cries.
Her love, though true, was never returned,
And from the ashes, her heart still burned.
