From the book Depression #6
"Losing a friend is a lot worse than losing a boyfriend or girlfriend. Ya you live loved your boyfriend of girlfriend.
But that friend, that one friend who you were so close with, that one friend that helped you and made you feel better, they supported to be by your side. They're the ones that you loved like a brother or sister. They were the ones who's shoulder you cried on when you got dumped or when you just needed to let it out. They were the ones who understood and tried their best to help.
Doesn't matter how it ended. Whether it was a huge argument or you just stopped talking. It always just hurts that you lost an important person in your life. You lost the one person who helped wipe your tears and that just hurts bad. You feel like a piece of you just went missing and you ding know what to do. A big part of your life just left and you miss them.
You made so many promises to each other. You guys said that you guys would be there for each other until the end. You've been through a lot and suddenly, it just ends. All those promises forgotten, all those memories forgotten, everything just forgotten.
And you feel like they wouldn't care anymore. They wouldn't care if you got worse and they wouldn't care if you died and they just don't care anymore. It just feels like that because now you guys are strangers and it feels like they don't a crap about you.
You feel like it's your fault and you feel bad. You keep thinking, If I was a better friend, maybe this wouldn't have ended. When in reality, it wasn't anybody's fault. But you still blame yourself.
It's really sad.
You thought this friendship would last longer. You thought this friendship was strong.
But, if just wasn't strong enough."
@Kcruz707 explained this very well. Losing friends never feel good. Losing animals you grew up and called them your friends, your family even, never feels good either.
If you and a friend just don't talk because you just randomly stopped talking and you aren't even mad at each other or nothing bad happened to do that, there's something that I want you all to promise me something. Please promise me that you'll try to talk to them when you get a chance. It would be worth it, whether they accept your friendship or not. It's worth trying.
Though you gotta pay attention to their expressions too. You could think they might look mad when they're probably depressed or whatever else. They might miss talking to you too.
Trust me when I say this, my friend, who became my crush since 9th grade named Bradley, was happy when I talked to him again. It took a bit, but I saw that smile on his face. We don't talk too much again, and I feel bad and I'm gonna try to talk to him again. We don't have any classes together. We have lunch and a band class that's only for some of the basketball games, though all that are at our school called Pep Band.
Though please try, whether you fought or not. It's better to know than to wonder.
