i finally understand the saying
"the weight of the world on your shoulders"
except the weight is everywhere

my eyelids drooping
the corners of my mouth pulled down
my wrists, aching
my feet dragging on the ground
my head falling on a pillow
my body being pushed down
legs, numb and weighted
fingers taught but limp
everything pulling down
down to the ground
maybe even six feet deep

push that thought deep down
allowing gravity to do its thing
and letting the weight of the world
act as an anchor
and sink the though, that thought

six feet under
