the earth's plates shifted under my feet
pushing upwards towards the sky
the elevation started to rise

cold air seeps into my bones
sickness swirls in my soul
will this be my new forever?

I started wearing long sleeves
sweaters
anything to cover up
to keep the cold out
tho it had already reached my heart

I isolated from everyone else
anyone
anything to keep it from spreading
to keep the sickness abay

so here I am
on an isolated mountain top
in my long sleeves
alone
swallowed up into
the new cold
the new sickness
the new me
