I'm frozen in a little pocket of time
watching as others pass by
voices weave and wander 'round
and I'm right here wondering why

they continue on with their lives
joining clubs and meeting a new friend
experiencing life to the fullest
while I'm right here, can't even mend

they grow older
graduate from school
look into colleges
while this ice is still cool

and I'm still frozen in a little pocket of time
watching as others pass by
I beg to be set free
but my parents won't comply

and so I watch until I die
