You keep coming at me,
Your affections I didn't rebuff.
But then you suddenly left me,
Like I have no heart, like I'm only tough.

We were like waves flowing smoothly in the ocean,
But then we turned into destruction.
We built up a storm,
And then onto the rocks our waves blew.

I hated how it turned out,
How everything was gone so fast.
Was I just a game to you,
Just a method to get time passed?

We crashed against the rocks,
And ended with venom in our words.
We started so soft,
And ended as broken cords.

I knew it was foolish,
I was cautious, I knew.
But my one mistake,
Was falling into what would soon be through.

Remind my past self for me,
Never to swim in that ocean of hurt.
Because it looks so calm,
Yet my heart was destined pain it would revert.
