Pack Mentality
A/N
We wrote some poems in English recently, so the next three poems, starting with this one, are from that. Enjoy!

In a world gone mad with barking,
Cats like myself are often too quiet to be heard
In a world run by dogs,
The cat is the outsider
Some say I'm lazy, or don't like affection
But in a world of fast-talking and constant moving
Privacy is my closest friend
Sometimes I pity the dogs
My own company beats a pack mentality any day
In a world of gunshots and fireworks
Id rather curl up in a warm blanket
And listen to the rain
Dogs hunt and chase and play
While the cat watches from the sun-warmed roof
And know the dogs can't reach her there
Poor dogs, confined to the earth
I'm a cat and everyone's a dog
And while they bay at the blood-red moon
I'm alright,
Because dogs can't climb trees
