You were the sun
I was the moon
We fitted perfectly
Yet you eclipsed me

You were the stars
And I was the night
I cherished you
Made you shine bright

My own daydream
I thought you were heaven
But you were my hell
And I just couldn't tell

You were the ice to my cream
The hip to my hop
And I loved you
I couldn't stop

I lived in memories
Of your sweet smile
In the sun's rays
In happier days

And when the time came
You left me alone
Without a backwards glance
Never answered the phone

And as time went on
I moved on
But your soft laugh
Never left me

You eclipsed me...
