It's on nights like these

God put so much effort
Into the stars and the sunset
That maybe I shouldn't hurt
Maybe I shouldn't be upset

When I feel the light of the stars shining
And the glow of the moon on my face
I feel like there's no reason to be sighing
And that maybe I'm not out of place

When I feel the cool winter breeze
Drift across my skin
And when I don't freeze,
I know I'm in heaven

There's a cool collectiveness
To it all, I mean
My temple is the darkness
But it's not dark because of the bright sheen
