🌨 November snow 🌨
This is the translation of one of my hungarian poems "Novemberi hó".
Here comes the end of november,
Soon we'll all have to dress warmer,
And as peace is brought by the twilight,
The month of mist leaves us with high style.
Early snowfall came today with the wind,
Tiny snowflakes from above are spiraling,
They glisten in the aura of the light
Of the lonely streetlamp firmly standing by.
In the end of fall, darkness falls quickly,
The light of day is short and plainly unmighty.
Dense blanket of fog descends on the city,
It covers houses like an airborne cunami.
Redemption at such times is when slightly snowing,
Walking in the cold is fabled and refreshing.
Looking at the curvy clouds of the sky
That are glowing brown in early wintertime.
Lingering under our lonely streetlight,
Watching snowflakes falling from the sky,
Listen as the bare branches of the trees
Start to slowly dance to the gentle autumn breeze.
Keep on the road, mooning away fondly,
At every light watching the snowfall's glory,
Feeling the moment, enjoying it long
While your heart is bursting into song.
And this is why the noted November snow
Is so rejoicing for both my spirit and soul.
If not your cup of tea you needn't drink it,
There's yet charm to a little snow, it's hard to ignore it.
