The Din of Vitriol

The huntress, the hunter, and the hunted,

With all values come the pride of great apes,

Hear their cry echo in savannas, open plains,

Across great seas, they swallow the earth

Beneath their feet, shape the land to their

Beckoning, mold molecules, and slaughter

The animals they once were in fellowship

In days departed. As one they are highest,

But as tribes they quarrel, war, and crash

The clock of progress. Even within

Clans they divide, turning on each

Other out of ignorance and lack of words

To communicate their differences. Some speak

The same dispute, and war repeatedly over

Semantics. The din of the vitriol is so vulgar

The commotion is heard on neighboring stars.
