The images of my mind's eye.

John Winkler, by Olan Smith

A. N. The banner photo is poet Eve Costello, all the portraits are from my poet collection of portraits, except the bottom one. The bottom photo, John Winkler, is not a poet but my life long friend who passed away in 2019 that I painted for his widow. While I was painting these portraits of my oldest poet friends one said (his portrait is picture below) said speaking of my load of portraitures on my list be too much, "Olan, I can hear the crash all the way down here in Louisiana," but I didn't "crash" I flourished, as painting/writing is what I am meant to do.
