It's About Time

Twelve twenty-two, not three or four,
But two. That was the hour she said adieu.
Time is so synchronized, not like before
When one chimed then another, all askew.
Younglings tilt their heads, wonder whatdoyoumean,
You mean, a time when accuracy was just about?
A moment not exact from room-to-room, wedged between
From house-to-house, what an unfaithful route.
Such innocent kids today, reliant of on their gadgets
To tell the time. No need to read a timepiece's face,
No need to adjust for time, all arranged baskets
Keeping track, around she falls, and orbits in space.
