Acrostic: Hypnagogic Jerk

Hollow is the emptiness of Muckraker's dispensations,

Yonder are his gifts―he misleads the masses into a

Psychological devotion within his decaying core.

Neutered sincerities dangle around his neck,

And closed chakras dangle from the crown.

Goddess of light give power, rise from the rearmost.

Overzealous tongues seeks allegiance from noisy 

Galvanized clashes of bronze cymbals in open marketplaces.

Indelible ridiculing, "Follow me into a cavernous pit, where

Carcasses are strewn deep, like mountains of charred flesh!"

Jeopardy waits in lengthy lines, the ludicrous march to hell,

Everyone is thoughtlessly, "Following the clamor!"

Repent, turn around, and walk from the wide path,

Kindness always seeks a confessor Lord, become critical.

A.N. A hypnagogic jerk is that sensation you feel when your head sinks into the pillow just as you're falling to sleep, and suddenly your head will jerk that brings you temporarily to awareness, it is that sinking feeling of losing control. The whole world should be feeling this sensation at this moment of our collective history, as it seems the world is out of control and there is nothing we can do about it, all I can suggest is we wake up, and use critical thinking, and not let others think for you.
