A Nymph's Piano
A warm bed of grass
Sunbeams touch bows of trees
Leaves rustle beneath
The echo of piano keys
For here in the meadow
Sits an instrument forgotten
Weathered by the elements
And not yet rotten
From between the ivory
Grow dandelions of grandiose
Seeds blown as the winds wish
For someone to play a note
A nymph crafted the piano
For a lover now lost
She abandoned her music
To the rain and frost
Flowers once danced
As her fingers played chords
Blades of grass trembled
Buds reaped the rewards
But now the forest yearns for
A melody beautiful and sweet
Such as the nymph once played
Only to then retreat
So come to the field
If you possess fingers nimble
To play this instrument
And witness nature ripple
