Poem V.

As I looked down

At my feet

I watched him

In the street

Passing by my home,

Not seeing me above

I sided with the wrong side,

It cost me my life, my love.

Just because I can no longer

Physically breath air

It doesn't mean I

Can't stare

A humanity's rights and wrongs.

I've wondered why

For the past few years

Why he would

Never shed any tears-

Was it because I

Was not missed really?

Was it due to

Me not being there freely?

Now I have realised why

He had not shed any tears

For me after

All of these years;

For my love, my life knew

I was there with him

Even in the times

Where the light was dim.

Years have gone by,

Now he walks beside me,

Hand in hand together

We leave the rest be

And we travel to the next world.....

Together.
