XD There is a string of poems going around on tumblr today. (4.22.16) This was my addition to it. It feels good to write a poem after so long away from composing. :) Hope y'all enjoy!

If you are what you love

I must seem strange indeed,

For the things I love

Are those often overlooked.

I am the smell after rain

And the greener greens,

The interplay of light and clouds,

An ever changing masterpiece.

I am the first leaves and flowers of spring,

Warm sunlight after winter's cold,

A hot shower and a song to sing,

Cozy covers on a chill night.

I am a cat's affectionate meow and purr,

A dog's wagging tail and lolling tongue,

Seeing young things grow

And still love you when they're older.

I am a rhyme well written,

A song that stirs the soul,

A story coming together,

A satisfying ending.

I am many things

Oft missed but still there.
