Hunted Down

I sprinted as fast as lightning,fearing for the sound of footsteps.The pounding of my heart was the only noise that broke the eerie silence.My lungs felt like they were going to burst but I continued going. All my life,I've been hiding from someone who's hunting me down like a predator trying to catch its prey.

Suddenly,there's a stir from behind me.The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end.Sweat poured off my hands like a waterfall.My legs are quaking with terror.This moment might be the end.
