shattered inside 

and lost in the tide  

of drifters 

and lost dreams

a childhood stolen 

a soul surely broken

by failures 

and self proclaimed queens

look farther,

young martyr, 

than their judgemental eyes

for their words harbor lies

they are as lost,

paid just as much cost 

for they're shattered 

and so, too, are their dreams
