When you get older.

When you get older, you realise that the priorities you used to have are different.

When you get older, you realise the weight responsibility lies on your shoulders.

When you get older, you see others getting older too. You'll see your parents - ones that used to run about - have to stand up slower or not sit for too long a time.

And you'll see the wrinkles draw on one after another.

When you get older, you'll see yourself growing older and more tired and more everything.

When you get older, you leave behind the world of imaginary adventures and juice boxes. You'll leave toy cars behind and instead get behind a real one.

When you get older, you'll find that doing nothing - which was boring as a child - is pure and proper bliss.

I used to fret over my parents getting older. I used to work out the math and figure that by the time I was twenty they would be infinitely older and I could not change the fact.

I used to be so young, oh what a pity I cannot go back.

I long for juice boxes and play adventures and running about with wild dragons close behind. I long for the days I caught frogs and got excited by a rock. I long for those days again but they will never come.
