Do they like me?

Do they like me?
A question in my mind
I search for signs
But find none.

I overthink every word
Every glance, every smile
Trying to decipher
Their true feelings.

My heart aches
With uncertainty
I fear rejection
Yet long for affection.

I play it cool
But inside I'm a mess
Hoping they feel
The same way I do.

But maybe it's all in my head
Maybe I'm just dreaming
Of a love that will never be.

Do they like me?
The question lingers
And I may never know.
