I shot for the stars
But even stars fall
It is one among thousands of lights, of expectations, of gleaming goals
And the fall can be the most beautiful of all

It came to be what others call a failure
It came to be an underachievement
It came to be something I never thought I could live with
It came to be my acceptance of myself

I'm not the best
I'm not the worst
I'm not average
I'm just me

It doesn't matter where I place
It doesn't matter where I pace
It doesn't matter where I falter
It isn't faltering at all

Mistakes are always there,
but when I look at it another way
They were never there at all
I did not fall, I just reached a different star
