Don't cry for me (ElizabethAndersonJr)

Don't cry for me

I've been through a lot.

So my dying wish;

Don't cry when I'm gone.

Tell my story at least.

Don't spend your time

Crying at the grave,

Like I did when my grandparents died.

I was never the same.

I wasn't real young.

Yet I hadn't met your dad,

When my mother died.

It was really sad.

Then my grandma got cancer.

My nephew did too.

His sister broke her heart (literally)

And all I could say is "bless you".

The story's not done.

It's barely begun.

Each daughter had something wrong.

So I continue this song.

First swallowed poo.

Second broke her leg at three.

Third has a genetic problem.

Don't you see?

Then a tornado comes.

Sweeps a nearby village away.

Then came a flood.

But at the end of the day;

My family still stands.

Fragile and lost.

We may have left some behind.

It came with a cost.

So don't cry for me if I die tonight.

Don't cry if corona finds me.

Consider my laugh wish-my last hope.

Do not cry, let it be.
