Winter's End

My body is encased with ice, unable to thaw

Making my feelings cease to exist at all

Winter has drawn on for months on end

Obscuring my sight of ones called friends

My body is encased with ice now starting soften

As the spectacle of light comes more often

For a new star illuminates the night sky

Signaling the end of winter's time

My body is free of its prison and now roams free

Feelings of love and happiness returning to me

The light saved me from an icy tomb

Reminding me that even in the dark you can bloom
