Through the window of the plane

She waved to him, a million miles away

And wiped the tears falling from her eyes

While smiling at the memories of the days

They had been together, at first it seemed

For so long, but it was only for a while

Then time was through, back to reality

With only the sweet memories of his smile

Why is it that when we find someone to love

The walls keep getting in our way

He slowly turned and walked away
