How does one change and look away

When the winds can't make his skin crawl

And his eyes are no longer captivated by colors of fall

As his mind slowly becomes deranged

How does one learn trust

When the colors he loves never stay

And giants he befriended wilt and decay

As his love of life begins to flake like rust

One must accept in life there are seasons

Ones full of rain that pull you under

As lightning flashes with roaring thunder

A reminder that light will find you and give you a reason

Seasons that are barren of embrace

When your fires dies to leave you alone

You no longer feel your heart, cold as stone

Yet you move since there's more to life than empty space

Seasons of infernos that melt your mind

With images playing tricks on your eyes

Making you question who's in disguise

But at the end you find something divine

Seasons of love make life blossom

As people come together to cherish

What they have and not what's perished

For to live life is truly awesome

So how does one change and look away?

They accept that life has ups and downs and that's okay
