I think in that single moment

I understood what it actually felt like

To be a god

Or a god, ultimate power and truth

I guess it all depends where you stand

And where you don't

I looked down out the window

Seeing the surface of earth

And white clouds consuming us

While above me

Was a mix of darkness and light

And the infinity of space itself

I was literally between

Life and death

I was the in between

But I wasn't a ruler

Not really

I didn't hold importance over others

But I've been face to face with great power and twisted agony

A story to share with others

I was just there

Stuck between the beauty of life

And the endless darkness of curiosity

So what am I?

I'm not really anywhere

But I am going somewhere

Maybe while it feels endless

And the journey is on the wings of a metal Phoenix

It's really the destination

That grounds us to mortality

To bless us with the gift of life to end its course
