A mask you wore last year has broke

As the days went, the cracks shown

Last year's mask held many memories,

Like when Mother kissed you every night

Or when I told stories to our friends of wild Fantasies and far away lands.

Yes, last year mask had some fun memories

Bad ones too like when you feel and broke your ankle, or how I bombed last years Math.

But even now, I look back on last year's mask that we shared, of the good and the old times.

Now we must place this mask on the shelf with the others, and ready this year's mask with all the next years memories and adventures
