As I watch the rain

So peacefully at play

I watch the dirt fade away

As the corpse didn't get away

The night before

So dark but the same

Nothing was really out of the ordinary

Or so it seemed

The young man I am

Walking back home after work

Had the lust for something more

But didn't know how it could work

Tired of scrapping by

Having the CEO whip come by each tide

So fed up with the world

Yet he would still die for the world

For no one that night

Knew of his mind

For mental illness was an extinct kind

Maybe if the car hadn't broken

And the phone booth had worked

The young women trotting home

Would have fallen asleep first

But his knuckles tightened

Fistfuls of anger

The smell of poison stilled layered

Skip and hop

Around the corner store

And before anyone knew

The metal knife has soared

Not a care in the world

As her world burned

No last words to be said

As she laid there and bled

Then he dragged her

Around the corners bend

But little did he know

They would meet again

But to the reader beyond me

I have one thing to say
