I make no apologies for who I am

Or the things that I have done

I never claimed to be an angel

But I ain't no smoking gun

I may have done some awful things

Broken hearts a time or two

But I've never given in to others

I've always been, to myself, true

Because when it all comes down

And the final curtain falls

I only have to answer to myself

No one will be with me, no one at all

So before you start to criticize

And verbally dump on me

Take a good look at yourself

Make sure your closet is empty
