Feeling useless a burden's call,
A weight on my soul a burden to all.

I can't step in to stop their fighting,
My heart aches, their distance a painful sighting.

Yearning to cry, wanting to scream,
Hoping to ease pain a fading dream.

Asking when it will all be done,
Fatigue and despair feeling so undone.

Choosing bravery in their sight,
Alone, shattered into pieces at night.
