Mid-autumn festival
Today is the day of mid-autumn festival,
It's the day when we eat mooncakes.
Hoping that no one was sick or in the hospital,
Because it's a special day, when mooncakes were sold and made.
People will hang their lanterns
On the ceiling!
Children making more lanterns and painting patterns,
Eating mooncakes that weren't freezing.
It's a day when everyone is together and have fun,
Not in the sun,
But in the moonlight,
Oh, what a beautiful sight!
Eating mooncakes is their tradition,
Passed down in many generations.
Since the war started,
They already had it made and manufactured!
This poem is by me, the author,
Hoping that you will be one of the supporter.
