It was finally summer break and you opened your eyes, seeing how the warm sunlight filled the room. Suddenly, you scrambled to pick up your phone in fear you missed messages from them. 1 new message, the phones lock screen read. You quickly unlocked it and read the message, not noticing that you unintentionally woke up the shimejis.

F/N - hey, Y/N. whatcha doing?
You - Just woke up so nothing much, lol. you?
F/N - oh cool, and just about to go somewhere. ttyl, ok?
You - ok, ttyl.

You locked the phone back and placed it back on the night stand, slightly disappointed. "Hey, punk. We were sleepin' here!" Undyne growled. You glanced at her and then the rest of the shimejis, who looked rather disorientated. "I'm sorry." you mumbled and picked them up gently, placing them on your pillow. "Better?" No reply, as you looked down and saw they went back to sleep.

Your phone vibrated and you could see they texted you again. Gently, you reached over and just barely grabbed your phone.

F/N - i gtg again but do you wanna meet me somewhere in a bit?
You - um, sure! just tell me when and where.
F/N - kk, call you later.

A smile crept on your face as you were deep in thought. This surely isn't a date or anything, right..? Nah, they just want to hang out. You silently made your way to your closet to pick out nice looking clothing. You decided on your favorite outfit and carried it to the bathroom. Once you washed up and got dressed, you returned to your room seeing that all the tiny monsters were finally awake.

"Y/N, YOUR MAGIC BOX WAS RINGING!" "Oh, thanks for telling me Papy." You walked over to your phone and saw that you, indeed, missed a call. You dialed the number back, recognizing it as your friends and waited for them to pick up.

"Oh, Y/N! I was just about to call you back."
"Really? Well, guess I beat you to it."

They chuckled a bit and then there was an awkward silence.

"So um, where are we headed later?" You chewed on the bottom of your lip.
"I was hoping we could check out that new restaurant that just opened up near town. 5 sounds alright?" They said casually.
"Yep, just fine. See ya then."
"Alright, see ya!"

They hung up and you caught yourself smiling once again. The new restaurant they were talking about was luckily only a 5 minute walk from your house.

"You look very pleased, human. What seems to be the occasion?" Asgore asked with genuine curiosity. "Just going out with a friend." You said without thinking. "Going out? As in (boy/girl) friend and (boy/girl) friend???" Oh my child! You are growing up so fast! Toriel exclaimed as the rest of the monsters giggled.

"Ooooo, so Y/N's got a little date huh?" Undyne snorted.
"WELL I KNEW YOU WOULD FIND SECOND BEST SOONER OR LATER!"
"I-I ship i-it!"
"Oh, darling! What are they like? Cute, hot, smoking? Give me all the juicy details~.
Sans was surprisingly quiet on the other hand.

You darted your eyes away from them. "W-w-what?! It's n-not like that! I mean as in g-going out, like to eat." "Ohhh! I understand perfectly, doll! So they are taking you out to eat, which means.... You're going on a date." Mettaton rolled out the word on his tongue and you groaned. You looked at the clock and saw it was already 4:50. "Well, gotta go! See you all later!" You rushed out of the room, thankful for the time passing quite quickly. You grabbed a tiny jacket just in case and was out the front door in no time.
