Your P.O.V

You were summarizing your day so far as you laid down your bed. You met someone today and they were really cool. (F/N), was it? Anywho, you two were now friends and promised to start hanging out sometime soon. The best part was that they liked Undertale, so now you two could discuss about ships and AUs.

It was pretty late already so it was a good thing you swung by and grabbed some food from (where ever you wanted to eat) with them. You changed into your pajamas and got back into your bed, falling asleep almost instantly.

Sans' P.O.V

"so it seems they've met someone new today. (F/N). i haven't heard that name before." I mumbled, more to myself than anyone. I glanced at them and noticed they weren't fidgeting around as much, must mean they've went to sleep.

"It's been 5 months since, and still nothing." Undyne stated and glanced at Y/N.

"Brother, how long do you plan to keep on waiting?" Papyrus asked me in a plain tone. He lost his enthusiasm and his bubbly personality ever since..

"however long it takes. ill wait forever if necessary."

A shaky sigh came from Toriel as she looked Y/N over.

"I am starting to lose faith, if I could be perfectly honest." Her eyes fell to the floor before she shut them completely in an attempt to prevent from crying. I quickly pushed off the covers that were thrown over me. Ever since this all happened, I haven't left. I basically live here now and nothing will make me leave until I leave with Y/N.

I walk over to Toriel and stand by her. "it'll be ok. i'm sure of it, Tori. just don't lose faith in them." She looked at me with glossy eyes and gave me a small smile. "Thank you, Sans."
"'s no problem."

"Well we'll see you later, Sans." Undyne called out as she stood in the door way. Papyrus and Toriel soon left as well, waving at me as they shut the door. I let out a sigh and look back at Y/N.

when will you come back?

Your P.O.V

You groggily opened one eye, regretting it as sunlight blinded you. First the weird dreams and now this? Couldn't get any worse than this, huh? A vibration on your bed quickly caught your attention and you grabbed your phone.

F/N (the one you met recently): Sorry to bail on you Y/N, but I'm gonna have to cancel on our plans today. I'm really busy helping out. :(

You: No problem, we can just hang out another time.

You closed your phone and laid back on the bed, closing your eyes. Your dreams from the recent night came flooding in as you remembered bits and pieces, though very vividly. You blush as you remember holding Sans' hand and him taking you out to Grillby's. Like the two of you were dating.

Your cheeks get hot and are probably tinted a light scarlet. You knew you shouldn't get to worked up over a game character, but still, you had a very strong connection to him. But don't all his fan(girls/boys) as well? What made you any different?

Well since I have no plans, what better way to spend my day than doing absolutely nothing? You chuckled at your thoughts, until your stomach rumbled. Well... Maybe doing nothing can wait until I get some food.

You made your way into the kitchen and made some breakfast, watching TV as you ate.

Sans' P.O.V

I was a bit restless the past night and so I passed the time by making sure Y/N was alright. They talked a lot while they were like this, even mentioning my name a couple of times and giggling. They even talked about Toriel or Undyne sometimes.

so this must mean that they remember, right?

I saw them fidget and heard bits of them talking about a show they were watching?

Weird.

I wonder what they were doing.

Your P.O.V

The dreams you had kept popping back into your head. I mean you really did like Sans, but those dreams seemed all too realistic. But that's dreams for you. You pushed it out of your mind and continued with your lazy day. After all, it did feel nice to just lounge around the house.

You placed your dishes into the sink and washed them. Then you put them on the drying rack and dried your hands, finally making your way to the stairs. You decided to take a quick shower, because why not? You put your pajamas on and went back into your room; it was quite messy but you still knew where everything was.

On the way to your bed, you tripped on something and fell face first on to the floor. "..ugh." You groaned and your vision began darkening.

You woke up again...? You were covered in many white covers and sheets and did not recognize where you were. Looking at your clothes under the covers, you saw you were dressed in a hospital gown. So what did you do?

Panic of course.

"Um.. H-hello?! C-could someone help me?!" You heard movement and glanced at the chair in front of the bed, seeing two white pinpricks staring at you in disbelief. Upon closer inspection, you gasped.

"S-Sans.....? Is t-that you?"

Before you could even register it, he was hugging you quite tightly and sobbing loudly. He was saying something but you could only somewhat understand.

"y-y-y/n.. i-i thought you'd never wake up." You could feel his tears soaking your gown as you rubbed circles into his back. He calmed down a bit and looked at you with a heart breaking face.

"i've missed you so much." He was sniffling and gave you a shy smile.

"Why am I at the hospital? What happened? How did I even get here..?" You didn't mean to bombard the small skeleton with questions, but you couldn't help it.

"you were with me and papy at our house, and then you fell asleep with me in my bed." His cheeks were a dusted baby blue, but quickly disappeared upon telling what happened next.

"the next morning, you wouldn't wake up. you were breathing fine, and alphys said you were in a coma. we brought you here and they couldn't find anything wrong, and soon after you kept mumbling things in your sleep, like F/N."

Your eyes widened and you were in a complete state of shock. The entire time, your entire life there, was all a dream?

"you remember don't you?"

"Bits and pieces. I just can't believe it. I only ended up back here because I tripped and hit my head back in my "dream." You chuckled humorlessly. "How long was I out for anyways?"

"5 months or so, but that doesn't matter. you're here now.." His voice broke a bit. "and i hope you don't ever leave again. y-y/n, i was so empty without you." He was crying again and you gently picked him up and held him.

"Shh it's ok. I do remember one thing for sure."

He stop sniffling and looked up at you. "and what's that?"

"That you're my boyfriend and that I love you."

He smiled and blushed, looking genuinely happy now. "you're right. heh, i love you too."

Sans got his phone out of his pocket and dialed a number.

"yeah, papyrus. i need you all to come over. yep, it's important. y/n's finally wake."

Once you saw all of your monster friends after waking up, all of your memories returned and you were very content. Sans and Papyrus eventually took you back to their home and you continued living with them.

-Time skip to skeleton brothers' house-    (5 months later)

You got up from Sans' embrace in his bed, to which he frowned lightly in his sleep. It was almost 2 in the afternoon as you spent the entire morning cuddling with him. You sleepily went into the bathroom to take a shower.

After washing up and putting on some clothes, you walked downstairs.

Sans soon followed after and walked up to you in the kitchen.

"im glad you came back, kid."

He looked at you with passion. You kissed him on the cheek. "Glad to be back, Sansy." He blushed at his nickname but hugged you, you returning it.

??? P.O.V

"Y/N! I'm home!" No response. That's weird, usually they'd greet me or something? I hung my coat on the rack and walked to their room. I gasped as my eyes fell on their form. They were on the floor, clearly unconscious.

"Oh my god, Y/N!"

But that was 5 months ago.
