Pokemon Mystery Universe.

A game nobody expected to go wrong.

I sighed as I lay in my nest. The bright moon shining through my window, the stars twinkling brightly beside it.

It's been a month since I've been stuck in this world, no, since we've been stuck in this world.

I mean, it's not that bad or anything. It's kinda cool actually. But I really miss having hands.

Yea...

Guess I wasn't thinking clearly when I created my profile. Well. It didn't matter when it was just a game of pixels...

I rustled my yellow feathers and nestled my beak into my fluffy chest.

I still can't believe I'm here.

It seems like only yesterday when Kenta, my brother, ran into my room, rambling about an old MMO they used to play together...

"Hikari! Hikari! Guess what?!" My brother called out as he busted into my room with his sleek black laptop under his armpit.

His brown eyes sparkled as he got up into my face. I was currently laying in bed, playing on my 4DSX. I giggled at his excitement."What? A new IPhone has been announced?" I joked.

"Nope! Remember back when we were kids we played a MMO called Pokemon Mystery Universe? Well it just updated today!"

"On our birthday?" I answered.

He nodded with a wide grin.

I jumped out of my bed and slid into my computer desk and opened up my silver laptop.

Kenta pulled out the extra chair and set his laptop on the desk also.

After a few moments of keys clacking, the twins turned and grinned at each other as they brought up the download page.

"Ready brother?"

"Oh yes my dear sister!~"

"On Three"

"One"

"Two"

Click.

The download bar started moving then the application opened.

"It downloaded that quick? It must not be as big of a update as I thought it would be... Sorry sister for wasting your time," Kenta apologized, clearly disappointed.

"Might as well check it out," I replied.

He nodded and logged in when suddenly a bright flash lit up the room.

I was then in a vast empty blue room when a booming voice came out of nowhere.

"Welcome to Pokemon Mystery Universe!"

I jumped a little. As I tried to identify where the voice came from a screen appeared in fort of me. I yelped and fell onto my butt. The light gray screen that resembled a computer screen followed and stayed in my face. As I studied the blank grey slate it lit up and words appeared on it. There were only two sections and it was clear what it wanted.

Create new profile

It had said. I gingerly clicked the continue from old profile on the screen and bit my lip as a smaller login page appeared. I thought for a little and clicked the box for my username and a keyboard appeared beside me. I then started to type in the username I usually use.

"Flaming_PhoenixHH should be it..." I muttered as I typed it in," But what about my password?"

I typed in a password I use often and clicked the okay button. I groaned when it said it wasn't the correct username or password. I tried a few other combinations but eventually gave up.

"Guess I gotta start from scratch?" I said to myself.

I exited out of the login page and instead clicked the create new profile button. It requested that I create a username, but I saw no password box which I found unusual. Maybe it would appear after I fill in my username?

I typed in Flaming_PhoenixHH and tapped the okay button again but it told me that it was already taken. I frowned and thought of a new username. I don't  normally use any other username then Flaming_PhoenixHH so I thought that maybe I should try something different. The HH part of my username stands for my first and last name so maybe I should base my new username entirely off my name? I sat criss-cross on the plain blue emptiness as I thought when I finally came up with a cute name.

I quickly typed in Hikashi with a confident smile. It was a combination of both my first and last name. Hikari Hayashi.

I tapped the okay button again and crossed my fingers hoping the name wasn't taken.

When I saw the account created! pop up appear, I grinned but it vanished as I saw nothing was happening. I then frowned as the game seemed to freeze.

"Oh crap, did it crash? I should probably log out then to reboot it..." I said to myself as I put my finger on the screen and tried to get it to change the text. I then looked around for a 'log out' of 'exit' when I realized I hadn't put on my virtual reality goggles. That raised many questions that I hadn't even thought of yet. Like how was I in a virtual reality without having any of the required equipment or why didn't it kick me out if it did freeze? Most VRs would kick you out if something went wrong. I was about to freak out when I heard a ding come from the screen. I blinked as I read the text.
