Aadhira's pov:

"I WILL MARRY YOU !"
He choked on his food.

"BUT ON ONE CONDITION..."
He looked at me seriously.

"I WANT MY SIDDU BACK !!"
He breathed out.

"Well that's an easy task don't worry we will get him here in two days..."
He smiled.

"And also one thing.."

"Yah go on.."

"I am going to adopt him!"
His mouth opened to say something but he stopped.

"I understand you don't need to sign for adoption I can manage as a single mother!"
I said and he nodded his head.
And muttered some sweet curse words cause he knows if he says any disagreement now I would blast as a volcano.

"Ok sweetheart no problem I will inform about your decision to everyone about marriage and since you agreed I will allow pooja to meet you today.."
I smiled at the name Pooja.

"And will inform you about Siddu. I have to leave now...will meet you later bye!"
He said and pecked in my lips.
Oh did I mention my emotions died long ago.

Karthick's pov:

"Don't this to me Karthick please don't do this to me.."

"I need you the most now Karthick please don't send me away.."

"F***! Same dream again"
It's like my head is now totally damaged tape recorder it just repeats the same old memories of her being with me.

Before I tried to hide the pain by surrounding myself with more work and repeating the words 'she is safe now!'.

But that just made the pain more hard it killed me not to go and drag her out of the hell hole but I know I can't do that.

Not when I am going to close the case forever. Prabhakaran would kill her just to make me back from the case. I am even sure Eashwaran is not cool with Yash's idea but he goes with it since Aadhira holds lot of properties in her name. Once Yash marries her everything belongs to her will belong to them. It is kind of sick backstabbing his Aarathy mam. Aadhira is only safe till she stays with Yash as much I hate it. This Yash is so stupid but it works for now.

Having no option I allowed myself to go through the pain cause it's easy that way...yes I allowed myself to be broken for once.

I turned to see the little monster tangled in blanket and occupying half of the bed he looked so cute hence I took my phone from the side table and clicked a picture.

It was just 3.30am and sleep was far far away for me. I planned myself to jog out for an hour.
Refreshing myself and I changed into sports costume. Came back to see the blanket laying down from the bed.
God this kid plays football even in dreams!

I again made him comfortable and covered him nicely with blanket. Placed few pillows in the side to ensure his safety and left out with a small forehead kiss on him.

I jogged nearly 45 minutes with same thoughts of her running in my mind continuously.
At last I found myself before Yash's house.
She was there inside so close yet so distant.

I guess this is the closest I can be with her now.
I just walked into the park opposite to the house and made myself comfortable in a bench.

I remembered the first time when my eyes landed on her.
With scratches around her body she gave me that lovely cold glare.

I definitely didn't know that day she would be my integral part in life.

I remember trying to track her but failed bad.

Then the kidnap scene one of my favourites.

Then comes the trial room incident where her innocence was clearly visible.

Then yah the time when we became aware of our original identity.

"Bro... Brother?"
I was interrupted from my short nap.

"Assistant Cominioner of Police specially appointed Mr.Karthick Prakask is seen in a private park which is opposite to his girlfriend house and he is seen sleeping with his mouth wide open while a mosquito is flying in and out of his mouth happily ..."
I sat up and glared at Kathir.
He was mimicking a news reader.

"You joined Adi too..God why alone me always struck up with idiots?"

"Karthick brother enlighten the meaning of idiot please. I thought the person who sleeps in front of his girlfriend's house is called idiot but you are calling a person who is responsible and is on time to his job a idiot?"
I just ignored that question.

"What brings you here?"
I asked in my commanding tone to shut his mouth.

"Job boss...now what brings you here boss?"
He asked mockingly.

I dramatically turned around to see people walking and jogging around.
"I just came to the park to get good air!"

"Yah you just came to the park which is 4 kms away from your house to get good air! Then I guess it's time for you to return home cause it's already 7am."
I stood up nodding.
Turned and saw the window of the house once and turned to give him final instructions.

"Make sure one of you is here all the time but be careful I don't want her to see you.. she doesn't trust anyone now. I don't want to scare her!"
I said in single go.

"God daily you are singing this same song we have got this bro..don't worry!"
He said and I nodded my head.

I walked out and hopped into a auto to reach home since it's already late.

I couldn't stop worrying about her..it was impossible. The hardest thing I have ever done was to leave her when I know she needed me most. I know I disappointed her bad because I couldn't suck it up and be a man.

Now I am standing at a point where if the present scenario continues I might lose her forever.

My thoughts were interrupted as I reached home. I ran inside to see everyone happily laughing after a long time.
What is someone's birthday today?
I don't remember any!

As I walked inside and everyone at the same moment become silent and gave me a silent treatment.
God it has been a month still everyone couldn't get over the fact that I left her out of my arms.

I quickly ran to my room to see Siddu watching cartoons and laughing at the jokes.
"No telivison in the morning it's our deal right little hero?"
He nodded his head and switched off the tv.

"Where did you went dada?"
I laughed at his nickname.

"Jogging."
I said and walked over to him.

"You didn't wake me up?"
He pouted.

I laughed.

"I went early now did you brush your teeth proper?"

"No."
He said and smiled.

"Then come fast you got to get ready and reach down for breakfast...by 8!"

We both ran into washroom. I gave him a nice bath and I had mine as I got out in towel I saw him fighting with his shirt buttons.

I helped him out and made his hair somewhat plesant!

I led him out of the room.
"You not coming today too?"
He said and pouted.

I kissed his cheek.
"You know I have work.."

He nodded his head and left after that.

It has been a month I had breakfast in table at least without me they would have some conversation but me being there is like quiet war zone everyone will be punching and killing the food thinking of me.

Hence yah now my breakfast is in office, lunch in office and dinner the maid will bring to my room.

It's like I am just returning home to see my little monster it's only time I am forgetting my pain he is the medicine for my pain.

Suddenly I heard my dad calling me.
He and brother are the only persons who have few words conversation with me like

"I need your signature here."

"You need to attend the meeting it is compulsory for managing directors."

These are from my awesome brother.

My dad well he is ultimate.

"You Ok?"

"You had food?"

"You had water?"

"You had some sleep?"

"Good night / morning!"

Yah that's all. All his one liners were the only conversation we had.

Hence him calling me.
I ran like Usain bolt to the dinning-hall.

And stood before him like a obedient child.
That little brat was stuffing few rasagullas(sweet) into his mouth and was grinning at me.

"Join with us for breakfast Karthick!"
I was like what? Did I hear it correct?
Are they planning to sent me out of the house as punishment with a last happy breakfast?

I sat in my regular place and waited for mom to serve me.
No..I know she will not do that!

So I served myself shamelessly.
My sister in law was glaring at my brother furiously.

He mouthed 'please' quite loudly.
Slowly she got up from her place and walked to me with a sweet box in hand.
She placed a piece of my favourite sweet in my plate.

I looked at her then at everyone
"What is special today?" I asked.

My dad coughed once.
"Your siter in law Revathi is PREGNANT!"

I couldn't stop staring at her with loads of happiness in my eyes.
She hesitantly placed an other sweet in my plate and turned to leave.

I caught her hand.
"I am so happy Anni!"
Two tear drops of tears from my eyes fell in her hand.

They had been trying for a child for past three years.

She placed the box aside and hold my hands tight.
"Bring her back home Karthick. She was the light in our skies."
Were the only words left her mouth and then she cried.

I couldn't decide what to do at that moment!
Should I cry that my lovely family is mourning still for Aadhira that they love her that damn much like they could even neglect their son for a month or be angry over them for the same reason.

I got a call and rushed to office after that.

The day went quick and I returned home quite late.
It was around 11.10 pm.

I walked to my room to see mom struggling with Siddu.
He was laying on the ground and crying badly mom was trying to console him.

"I want Aadhu now now please. I want to see her now..."

"Aadhu is out on work dear she will come here quickly now will you please stop crying..."
Mom pleaded with him.

"Siddu baby.."
My voice interrupted them.

Mom quickly got up and left the room rubbing the tears out and glaring at me coldly.
'Like you are the reason behind everything.' She didn't have to say the words.

"Baby boy..."
I carried him but he didn't show his face.

"I want to see Aadhu please.."
He said In that low tone sniffing my scent placing his head in my neck.
I breathed out.

"Ok come on lets go but you should stop crying.."

"Hmmn"

"Close your eyes now."

I walked carrying him to the terrace.
"Now open your eyes.."
I said and he lifted his head.

"Where is Aadhu?"

"There.."
I said and pointed the moon.

"See she is brightly shinning and smiling seeing you.."
He smiled and again lay his head in my shoulder.
I lulled him back and forth.

"I want to speak to her..."
Now how can I solve this situation.

"Siddu baby that's not possible..."

"Munchkin see your Aadhu is on the line.."
Anni came with her mobile.

Siddu immediately jumped into her arms and got the phone.

"Hello Siddu baby. I am sorry I couldn't call today.."
What is she speaking to him daily?

"I miss you.."
He sniffed and cried.

"No baby no crying now. See its already late you got to sleep.."

"No I want you here now to sleep.."

"Siddu..baby.."

"I want you here now.."
He started to cry loudly now.

"Revathi sister will you please take siddu to the bedroom I will video call you now.."

"Yah sure.."
I followed them like a lost puppy.

The Video call went near 20 minutes till siddu was under deep slumber.

"I guess he slept.."
Aadhira sounded tired.

"Yah he did."
Anni said and covered him with blanket.

"Did he trouble you much today? I am so sorry!"
She said.

"Hey it's nothing like that he is my little one too.."

"Thank you and it's late good night.."

"Yah good night Aadhira."
Anni said and disconnected the call.

Revathi anni got up from the bed and walked towards the exit.
I was standing near the door.

Anni walked two steps.
"She calls alternative days to check on siddu Karthick. He is a child he stills needs his mother figure!"
Anni said without turning and left.

I was supposed to be the hero not the villain of the story.
(Why can't this author suck it up and join us? Bitch playing with my wife and life!)

The next morning I brought Siddu to a pizza shop as he wanted to eat a pizza bad.
I guess family genes.

He was crushing over pizza while I planned to tell him the important matter I want to speak with him since two days.
"Baby boy.."

"Hmmnn.."
He was really lusting over the last piece.

"Baby Aadhira is going to pick you up tomorrow."
I was really worried about his reaction.

"Really? Then we can see NEMO movie together..."
No he understood all wrong.
God this is damn difficult than my case files.

"Baby Aadhu is planning to live with f***ing yash sorry.."
Karthick control he is a kid.
My brain was making me slow down a bit.

"Aadhira is planning to live with 'good' Yash uncle for few days she wants you to be with her. Would you like to go?"
I was giving the option to him.

"No I don't like that monster uncle!"
He pouted.

"But Aadhira is there.. you miss her right?"

"Yah I miss her."
He nodded his head finishing his pizza.

"See little one you will go with Aadhira ok? She is sad without seeing you. You will be a good boy and stay with Aadhira a few days then I promise dada will pick you up from there.."

He nodded his head again eyeing the ice cream chart.
Did he really hear anything I said ?
I doubt that.
