Karthick's pov:

Two weeks after

"Good afternoon, Mr.Prakash" The secretary greeted me as soon I got down the car I nodded at her and we both walked towards the lift.

"The meeting is in 15 minutes and It is in the red room" She said and I nodded. We have 4 meeting rooms named red, blue, green and yellow. The red is the largest one of all.

We reached the 8th floor and the lift door opened to see my dad standing there with a smile.

"Tight work?"

He asked looking at my uniform I nodded and the secretary left us.

"You would be surprised if you whose deal we are signing today"

He said with a mischief smile. I looked at him.

"Some celebrity?"

I asked and he hit my head.

"The girl your mom looked for you remember.. the half saree on in the Logesh's wedding"

He said and my face paled.

"What Aadhira is here?"

I asked.

"You don't look excited?!"

He said.

"Why is she here?"

I asked.

"She owns a startup son a very good one it is a food testing agency and with our new venture in to food business it is important we have right standards."

He said and I nodded.

"You should have seen their reports that girl has brains and she is work efficient"

My dad said with a smile.

"And you whose daughter she is?"

"Aarathy Krishnan the leading lawyer"

We both said in the same time.

"Quick now you got 10 minutes!"

Dad said and pushed me into my room. I refreshed and put some suit since it is an meeting where some board members will be present.

I walked into the red room on the right time. There I saw her see me with wide eyes. Did she not know I am going to be there?

"Ms.Aadhira Krishnan let me intoduce everyone present on the room to the left you have Mr.Manoj senior partner then Mrs.Banumathi board member and to the right you have Rangith Prakash who you have already met and meet Karthick Prakash my younger son."

Dad said and she gave her pretty smile to everyone except me.

"It is important you get 3 out of 5 votes here in this group to approve your project and then we can discuss about the partnership, understood?"

Dad asked her and she nodded.

She stood and started her presentation. Her presentation was good but the way she presented it won our votes. She was wearing a work costume which made her look so hot. Why would she need to wear such revealing costume?

'Concentrate dude' My brain said.

I shook my head and again heard what she was saying.She mad sure we had no doubts at every part of the presentation and presented some solid evidence. She ended with how it would benefit us if we accept her project. 10 minutes break time was given.

When we got back after the break she got 4 out of 5 votes and we all were happy with what she could provide to our company.

"We look forward working with you Ms.Krishnan"

Dad said and shook her firm hands.

"It's my pleasure sir"

She said and smiled.

"My lawyer would be arriving soon we would draft the agreement and will mail it to you in a week is that ok?"

My dad asked.

"Oh sure sir no issues"

She said.

"Karthick would further contact you to discuss about the partnership"

Dad and both me, Aadhira looked at him the same time.

"The meeting is dismissed"

Dad said and all started to leave. I rushed to catch Aadhira.

"Aadhira wait a minute"

I called her but she did not respond continued walking.

"Aadhira I am talking to you"

I shouted and she walked towards the lift.

I walked furiously towards her and caught her arm. She glared at me. Nice way is not going to work with my sweetheart now.

I dragged her. She struggled to get out of my hold. All the workers were looking at us. We were busy giving them nice drama to watch.

Aadhira's pov:

He pushed her into restroom and locked the door.

"Why are you not picking up my phone calls?"

He asked me and I dared to look some where not meeting my eyes. It always irritates him to core.

"Look at me when I speak ..did you forget all the good habits I taught you in 2 weeks?"

He asked pinning her to the wall. He looked more handsome in suit when he is this close.

I tried to push him.

"Why would I pick up your calls?"

I asked him looking at the eye.

He trapped me inbetween his hands and looked at me like I was some prey.

"Well the warrior princess is back it seems. We are back to the first step?"

He asked me coming so close my breath got itch.

"Tell me why are you here? To mess with me again?"

He asked me and this time I succeeded in pushing him aside.

"Look Karthick I am sorry I didn't plan on anything. I should have known before PRAKASH industries and your last time all matches ahhh I am stupid."

I said.

"Same naïve angel!"

He said and smirked.

"Look Karthick that thing between us is over. We are not starting it again and in no way this deal is sign of me wanting to be with you again"

I said and he smirked.

"Oh Little nila I wanted the same thing. WE ARE OVER. YES I was playing with you..I got caught and yes I don't want you anywhere near me stay away Aadhira it is better for both of us. Just stay the f*ck away from me. I am BAD NEWS for you!"

He said and walked away.

I know everything between us was over but still it hurts when the actual words came from his mouth. WE ARE OFFICIALLY OVER.

I can stop dreaming about some guy in horse saving me shit I want no one. Thank you Karthick for breaking the heart of someone who is already so insecure.

I walked out and all the employees gave me a weird look. I know.

"Aadhira what are you doing here?"

I turned to see shyam.

What the hell?

"SHYAM? What are you doing here?"

I asked as I instantly hugged my best friend.

"I work for the PRAKASH industries for few years now."

He said and smiled.

"I still can't believe you are here!"

I said and hit him few times.

"Hey hey calm down Aadhu.. stop hitting me"

He said and hugged me again.

"Shyam you left your phone!"

It was Karthick who interrupted our reunion short. He gave me a glare.

"Thanks Karthick!"

Shyam said.

"Do you know each other?"

He asked looking at me.

"OH we are best friends from college. She was my junior. We used to spend all the time together but it has been 2 years now since we saw each other."

Shyam said with a big smile.

"It was you who ran away"

I said and hit his arm.

"Can we talk over lunch?"

Shyam asked and I nodded my head with a smile.

"Do you want tp join us Karthick?"

Shyam asked and but he said no. Thank the lord!

We reached a restaurant soon and sat on a corner table with a good view.

"How is your work going?"

I asked.

"Tight packed I have like no time to breathe. Delhi High court cases are overflowing"

He said and sighed.

"Then how come you are here in Wednesday middle of the week."

I asked.

"PRAKASH industries is one of the high priority clients Aadhira you got be present at any location when they ask"

He said and sipped his soup.

"You know Karthick?"

He asked.

"Yah I have met him before. He and mom often work together."

I said and he nodded.

"Stay away from him he is definition of dangerous"

He said. You should have warned before best friend.

"How is uncle and aunty settled in delhi?"

I asked and he smiled.

"They are learning new hindi words everyday"

He said and we both laughed.

Our food arrived the table. WE started to dig in.

"How is swathi?"

He asked slowly. I glared at him.

"Is she good? "

He asked not meeting my eyes.

"I really hate you for what you did to swathi"

I said.

"You don't know what happened Aadhira"

HE said.

"Exactly it has been 2 years and neither of the two is ready to tell me. When did I become such an non-important person to you both?"

I asked and he stayed quiet.

"It is a small misunderstanding how could you leave her Shyam?"

I asked and placed my hand over his.

"I didn't leave her. She decided to break up with me."

H said and my eyes went wide.

"What?"

I asked.

"Yes she was the one who wanted to end our relationship"

He said.

"She loved you with her whole heart man how could she do that?"

I asked.

"Tell me asshole no more suspense what was the so small understanding? What is the problem?"

I asked in a hard tone.

"The problem was you Aadhira."

He said and smiled lite.

I had a mini heart attack. What the hell?

"What are you blabbering?"

I asked.

"I wanted to marry her and move with family along with her to delhi but your best friend did not have heart to leave you. It started as a small fight and ended with the question IS OUR RELATIONSHIP MORE IMPORTANT THAN AADHIRA?"

My eyes had tears at this point.

"Her answer was three letter word YES and she broke up with me"

He said.

All the miseries she underwent all these years was because of me.

I stood up and collected my bag.

"I need to meet swathi will call you later shyam."

I said and walked out of the hotel.

"Don't tell swathi I told you everything"

Shyam shouted.

Such a bloody rascal swathi. When did she became a such big mahan sacrificing her love for friendship? STUPID ASS! My Stupid Swathi!
