looks like I woke up today on the wrong side of bed.I was no mood morning to do any productive stuff. Just binge watched Netflix.

Karthick's pov:

"Mom can you please stop this conversation you know me mom I don't want such commitment in my life!"
I said harshly and moved from the place.

I started to roam the mandap and found my friends guess where?
Dining hall.

It was after noon my family already left home by 11. I was still here as I was appointed as a royal driver to drop bride and groom in their new home.
Coimbatore ACP- car driver.But friendship has no limits right?

The guests started to leave the mandap now only consisted of only the close realtives.

"Karthick you know Aadhira right?"
Asked Logesh's mom Suganthi aunty.

"Hmmn... No aunty I never in my knew someone named Aadhira"
I tried to lie. What is matter with everyone match making with me to her.

"You are a dumb ass Karthick. I am sure you had your eyes on her .I even saw you yesterday have a conversation with her. Now you planning on continue I don't know her aunty act?"
She smiled seeing me.

"Sorry no how can I help you my sweet aunty?"
I smiled and asked.

"That's my good boy! Karthich she has romm no 104 room key I am needing it at the moment can you please get it for me?"
She said with a big smile.

"Ok aunty I will do that! "

I moved in search of her.

I found her standing near back entrance showing her back towards me. As I moved close I saw that Yash dog and Suresh uncle having a heated conversation with Aadhira while she was rubbing of tears from her eyes silently.
My blood boiled. What got into me I don't know but I felt this immediate need to protect her from the situation.

I walked fast towards her and placed my arms securely around her delicate waist.
She was startled for a moment.

"Want me to finish him again darling?"
I said smirking eyeing that bastard Yash.

I think they might have added some drug in my morning food because I freaking kissed her head at the moment showing them she is mine so stay the hell away from her from now on.

"Shh.. don't cry I am here!"
I murmured in her ears.

"Uncle why is my girlfriend crying?"
I asked in my cold voice.
They might have really added something otherwise I would not be definitely doing this act.
Something is definitely wrong with me have to do a doctor check up soon.

"No nothing ACP sorry Karthick she is just feeling sad as pooja is leaving to her in-laws house."
He said wiping his sweat.

"Uncle I don't mind you calling ACP if you are comfortable cause for some criminals my name is registered in their brain... like that "
I said with a cold voice and a broad smile.

"ACP... Sorry again Karthick I think I have some work now. Will see you around later ok?"
He lightly tapped my arm and moved away.

"Hello you! My bloody favourite Yash. You are feeling good now?"
He looked down and I continued.

"Stay the hell away from her otherwise I don't think I have to replay what happened yesterday again"

I said and he hissed touching his bandage in his hand. He moved away after that.

"Why the hell did you do that?"
Came her sobbing voice.

"Excuse me I think I just made you a favour"
I said in a frustrated tone not understanding this girl.

She pushed my hand which was still in her waist and started to run towards bride room.

'Is she mad or what?" I asked myself.

I just saved her and she is seeing me as a terrorist.
Don't waste your time on the naive girl Karthick she does not even understand small matters. She is not your worth your time.
First you stay the hell away from her.
Advised my brain.

To reduce my frustration I found a lone corridor and ended up with an cigarette in my hand there.
I am not a chain smoker but it helps to reduce my frustration sometimes.

Then I finished my royal driver work successfully as I dropped them in their house.

After 2 days.
The chemist who is appointed to investigate the VEDHA company products case submitted a report that the product does not show any signs of banned drugs or other chemicals and it is perfectly safe to consume it.
Perfectly safe my ass!

I think the chief chemist must be a working for VEDHA industries owner or he would have got a large amount of money from him to change the report.

"What will we do now bro? This bastard has given a report like this and we have to report the official file in 3 days to the head commisioner who is in Chennai to proceed our case to next level"
Adi started to ramble about the situation.

"There is no time to worry find some other chemist to prepare the report again this time secretly and I want to meet a important person regarding this case"
I said in an hard tone.

"Ok bro will do that "
With that he exit my office.

I remembered Aadhira talking about it she said it contains some chemical compound.
So you got a reason to meet her dude!
Mocked my dear brain.

I may be a ACP but I did not have guts to call her and ask her to meet me so I ended up texting her.

"Meet me by Tom 4pm in my office "

I waited for her reply the whole night.
Ok she might be shy to reply my message.

AADHIRA'S POV:

I received a message from the ACP stating I should meet him tomorrow in his office.
Is that a order? He should have add a please, let me know Aadhira there are 100 soft words to use but he wrote MEET ME like I am maid.
Mannerless idiot! Doesn't know to message a girl.

"You are thinking too much Aadhira you please get into your head that he is not calling you for a date to add please in his message."
Mocked my brain.

Excuse me! I am not interested in dating that monster.
Oh really Aadhira? You are trying to fool your own brain now?
Said my brain.

Before I could answer back my stupid brain Meenakshi(our house maid) aunty called me for dinner.

"I will definitely not message him back until he adds please to his message..."

"Don't play your childish tricks on him Aadhira he seems to be a bad guy"
Adviced my brain but I already started to fight with my dosa on plate.

As I planned before I did not message the royal king that night or the very next day and matter here is I did not meet him too.
'You really have death wish Aadhira!'

Again warned my brain.

I checked through my inbox but I did not find any messages from him too.
Ok he might have forgot in his busy schedule!

Next day born beautifully and I was in my office for a morning meeting with the share holders. I was disturbed by Usha my assistant.
If normally my assistant disturbs my meeting means I have some family emergency.

"Is Siddu ok?"

I asked her and she nodded her head.

"You will not believe who is waiting in our office it's freaking Karthick Prakash Our district ACP!"

She said and jumped in joy.

"Aadhira baby I am sorry that you have to miss your meetings but we have got something more important work to do. So quick babe let's move!"
His sentence was continued with "wows".. from all the female investors in the meeting hall.

With that he didn't leave me. He walked towards me and dragged me by my hand out of the meeting hall with 12 investors + 1 best friend + 1 assitant all of their eyes completely on us.

"Sorry ladies and gentlemen please don't mind I need my girlfriend for rest of the day?"
He said and all their faces went pale.

"No problem you can carry on. I will be taking from here."
Swathi said and smirked.

We walked through the corridors.

"Hey what are trying to do?"
I sounded angry by removing my hand from his grip.

"Why did you do that? That was so embrassing!"
My eyes already secreted tears.

He again dragged me to the car parking and stopped before his bike.

"Why did you not visit me yesterday?"

He asked and I kept my tiny mouth shut.

"I cancelled my meeting and waited for you for nearly 2 hours madam.."
He said and put on his helmet.

"You queen did not even care to message me back. Do you think yourself so great because I asked you help!"
He asked in a mocking tone.

"For that you just dragged me from my meeting and you even dared to call me girlfriend wantedly in front of my investors..."
I said in a unbelievable tone.

He smirked and said
"Tit for Tat darling come on get on the bike I am not wasting my time..."
He said and started his bike.

"I am not coming with you that too in that bike!"
I said in a cold tone.

" Ok if you have problem in that come on we can discuss in your board room with all your high investors on board!"
He said and smiled.

"Ugh! you are impossible..."
I said and stamped my feet.

"Come on darling you are wasting my time..."
He said and smirked.

We travelled for about 10 minutes and we reached police headquarters.
"Is he going to jail me for such a small disrespect!"
Asked my brain.

We crossed main entrance after my bag checking and believe me all people present there viewed me like I am a candy.

I followed him as a lost puppy. That was quite easy to follow his black shoes mainly as I hung my head low cause it was uncomfortable being watched by such a large no of people.

He stopped at the entrance of the main hall and he enquired about something to another police.

"Sir Commisioner is present inside your room to meet you..."
Came the officer's voice.
F*** he muttered! Under his breath..

"Is Adi there inside?"
Asked the devil.

"Yes sir inspector Adi is present inside.."
The constable replied.

"Ask him to manage and cover my appearance here ok?"
He said in a hard tone and turned and caught my wrist as he dragged me out.

We again started travelling to a unknown destination. This time the travel was about 40 minutes.
" Where are we going?"
I asked curiously.

No response.
Ok the devil has gone deaf.

I started to search my phone in my bag.

Shit! I have left it in my office earlier.

And at Last we reached a cafe called Le café which was situated out of the city.
What's with him and out of the city places?

We both got down and entered the café.

Next minute my mouth fell open looking at the beautiful interiors I swear I did not know that this kind of cool café's were present in Coimbatore.

We sat on a corner table and I was eager to order but the ACP had another idea in his mind.

He dragged a paper 1 or 2 from the file he carried and passed it to me.

"Quick I don't have much time to spend here. Analyse it and say me the problem"
Heartless ACP !

"I will say it again THIS IS NOT A DATE get your ass to work!"
Adviced my brain.

I took my notepad as I started to analyse each equations and wrote the wrong drugs that are added in unknown product.

He was quite secretive about what product is it I am analysing.

While he started to work on his laptop.
Screw his work he don't have time to even notice me.

After half an hour the temperature in the cafe was so cool I started to feel sleepy. I tried to keep me awake but failed in it miserably.

I was sleeping at a point when a hand poked my head I looked to see him moving a hot cup of coffee towards me.
Ok this guy has 0.99999 percent of heart.
When did he order coffee?
You will never know cause you were in busy sleeping Aadhira!
Replied my brain.

I finished after one hour or so and I explained my best to him about what I found wrong in the report. He even took notes of important things.

"Is this drug name I typed here correct?"

He asked pointing his laptop.

"No it includes an 'e' at the end"

I said and quickly helped him in lap sitting beside him.

"I hope you got everything right?"

I asked and then only notices him looking at me seriously.

I was sitting so close to him and my hand was over his hand operating the mouse.

I gave him a sheepy smile.

It was around lunch time. Should I ask him to have lunch with me. Would I look a fool?

"Shall we move?"

He asked drinking the last sip of his juice.

"Next time we will meet in my office let not have meet outside together"
He said as if I kidnapped him from his meeting and brought him here.

" I will not come to police station..."
I stated boldly.

"Then I guess your home is better sweetheart!"
He said and walked towards exit.
Bastard.

"Hey wait you are leaving me here..."
I said as I put my things in my bag and ran behind him.

"I just got an immediate call. You get a cab and reach home safe ok?"
He said like it was a easy task and went away.

Heartless monster...devil. He doesn't have any sense...leaving a innocent girl in a deserted cafe and left casually.

I again went inside the cafe as my stomach was making noises.
I entered and sat on the same table ordered a pizza.

The pizza was so good that I thought of ordering another one but I looked at the time and decided to move out.

"No need mam"
The guy sitting in the bill counter said.

"Excuse me.. sorry what?"
I asked.

"No need to .."
He stumbled with the sentence again.

"Why?"
I asked in a hard tone.

"Mam..."
He smiled broadly and said

"You are ACP sir' s girlfriend how can I ask you to pay a bill? Take this as a compliment mam. He has helped me in numerous times in hour of need!"
He said happily.
Impossible!
