PLOT:

Edward Cullen and Emma Quinn are old lovers. They often return to each other before feelings start getting in their way, causing them to depart once again. Edward is tired of letting the love of his life go. He knows she's out there, trying to let him escape her mind by finding someone else to fill the void.

When she returns to Forks to see him again, he has to do everything in his power to make her stay. His failed attempts are making her drift away again. He has given up any hope to be with her and it isn't long before Bella Swan shines a new light on the idea of romance.

The human girl can't replace the brunette vampire, but he would have to give her the upper hand.

SUMMARY: Emma can't commit to an eternal life with Edward. She's not sure it'll work out and she doesn't want to lose her best friend, her partner in crime. She promises him she'll live with the Cullen family for a few months in the rainy town of Forks, Washington. Edward tries to sway her with his romantic gestures, but Emma closes herself off.
