summary:

Harper Romero was a fighter. The world had made her so.

Being given up for adoption when she was young and going from foster home to foster home made her strong willed. Being left behind by her boyfriend when she got pregnant made her even more determined to become a good mother. Being forced to leave the army because she was having a daughter only made her stronger. Nothing the world had thrown her way had broken her.

Never could she have imagined that the thing able to break her were corpses that had come to life. The world had fallen into chaos and Harper was forced to watch as the walking dead devoured her daughter while there was nothing she could do to save her baby girl.

All her will to fight disappeared in a cloud of smoke that day. The fighter she'd become had disappeared behind the endless pain that made her hollow inside. She was stumbling around in darkness, just waiting for it all to end for she was already cold and gone.

That was until she was found by a group of people claiming they were able to save the world, cure the dead and restore the chaos. They gave her a mission and it awoke a flame inside a soul grown cold. The fighter within her was reborn because when looking at Abraham Ford it was impossible to not want to stand up and fight.

- Okay, so I'm absolutely in love with this plot. So much so that I had already written the first chapter when I realised I have absolutely no time to finish this, especially with school starting again. That's why I decided to put it up for sale! If you want to use the chapter I've written, or just want to take a look at it, let me know and I'll send it to you.

- Harper's story is very simple; her life was hard and it made her a fighter. She is used to fighting back but when the world ends and she looses her daughter she, for the first time, breaks. She gets seriously despressed and is ready to give up. I imagine her just laying next to the road, staring up at the sky, not having eaten anything in days, waiting to die, when Abraham and the others pass by.

- Her depression won't be immediately cured when she decides to travel on with them, of course not. It takes a long while for her to want to fight back again. Still, being around the group helps and having a mission, like she used to have in the army, makes her feel like she has a purpose again.

- At one point in the show Eugene mentions the people that used to be in their group but that they lost along the way and so I thought I'd give them faces and a story. Josephine, Roger and Rex are three of the names he mentions and these three are still alive when Harper meets them. The others have already passed away. It's up to you how far you want their stories to go and if you decide to let them live or not. Personally I think Rex and Rosita would make a great couple. And I also think Roger and Josie would be awesome together. A thing that you could do, which is what I would do if I end up writing this anyway :) , is have Roger and Josie together but Roger dies before they reach Terminus, making Josie go down a pretty dark path and finally find some light again when she meets Daryl. I think they would make a pretty interesting pair but it's up to you if you want to go down that road.

- Sadly, Abraham won't survive in this story. His death was necessary for the story and I won't change this because it will be important character development for Harper too. Unlike what happens when she lost her daughter, she turns into even more of a fighter and will use any means necessary to kill Negan. So, she would definitely agree with Maggie in season 9 about wanting to kill Negan even after the battle.

- ALSO, I have a secret to share about this plot! I have an ending for this story in mind but to surprise the (possible) readers I thought I'd only tell it to the person who might end up writing the story. That way it remains a surprise. :)
