Many orphanages were set up during the 20th century by Schicksal, to support children who had lost their families during the world wars. It was considered to be one of very few good acts of Otto. But in reality, Otto simply set it up for the benefits of his own organization. He could recruit potential candidates for the Valkyrie project.

During the early years of the second world war, his orphanages took in many more orphans, from all of these European countries. One of these orphans was Ravenblood.

His nickname was Raven at the time, he was a reliable big brother to others in the orphanage. Always acted to be strong. Has a strong sense of justice, and has been exposed to the knowledge about Honkai after the orphanage was attacked by the beasts.

The attack left a deep wound in Raven's mind as he watched his home burnt with the corpses of his caretakers and fellow friends… He made a vow to destroy these beasts.

Otto personally ordered a crew to come and take the remaining orphans to safety in their HQ. There were only 7 at the time.

5 would have died long before events in the main story happened.

The remaining two would be Ravenblood and his best friend - "Kyle". These two shared a deep bond, and called themselves each other's brother. To both of them, Otto was like their father.

Ravenblood would start off his career in fighting against Honkai by signing up as a soldier in the 35th infantry regiment. While Kyle was deployed to the Assault squad of the 28th regiment.

In the first years, things would go smoothly for both. But Otto got his eyes on Ravenblood for his talent in commanding and making decisions, he observed him for a while. While "Kyle" lost his right eye in an ambush. As time continued to move on, there would be a huge distance between Ravenblood and "Kyle"'s friendship and ranks.

Ravenblood kept climbing up through the ranks, as his talents were accepted by mostly everyone in his regiment and even in higher commands. While "Kyle" had no special talent for people to look out to. He is fully aware that Otto - whom they looked upon as their father clearly favors his friend more, but he did not mind with that. While it was the opposite with Raven, he sometimes asked if “Kyle” could be promoted or moved to a less hostile zone, but many of his requests were turned down.

"Kyle" felt exhausted at some point. But he did not allow himself to give it up, because of a promise with Ravenblood during their childhood… A promise to give everything to win against Honkai. And also him sometimes meeting Ravenblood outside of missions really helped him.

In the 8th year of his military career, Ravenblood was sent to an assault mission, his target for this mission was the original Royal Blades legion's leader.

To make the plan possible, he needed the most skilled members from all the assault squads across all the regiments available. "Kyle" was selected for obvious reasons, but Ravenblood decided to put him in the back, worried that his old wound would be a huge disadvantage to his old friend. However, "Kyle" refused his request and took up the spot of the front.

During the siege of the mansion, where leaders of the Royal Blades' reside. "Kyle" and many other assault teams learned of an ambush set up by the enemy, but before they could send any transmission back to warn, they had already been surrounded. Dozens of bloodthirsty mercenaries surrounded them, guns pointed at them. They tried their best to break free, but it was futile. Before dying at the hands of the enemy, "Kyle" ordered a bombardment at his location to get as many enemies with him as possible.

Ravenblood refused this, and was eager to lead everyone to rescue the surrounded, badly-beaten up assault squads. But upon remembering his old vow with his old friend, and realizing the responsibility he held right now, he had no option but to grant permission to bomb the entire area, completely wipe out the enemy's resistance force and his own allies.

The mission was a success. Ravenblood was promoted to the position of Lord Commander - highest position within a legion, and held many authorities within Schicksal's military regiments. Royal Blade's is his own legion now.

But having to bomb his best friend to death was not something he could overcome so easily. In fact, he did not overcome it. He failed to keep himself in the same shape. And became more negative towards his own justice. The Royal Blades slowly became a lunatic legion because of this. Because, only in purging his enemies, Ravenblood wouldn't have to mourn for his friend, and would still have kept up his promise.

"I know it's a huge loss for you. Your best friend…" - Otto said to Ravenblood, who was still called Raven at the moment. "But sometimes that's how things go. Nothing stays on forever. But as a reward, I'll grant you anything, of course, if I can."

"I want more time. This body will soon decay before I can give everything." - Raven said, after realizing he has been slower and weaker as he grew older.

"..." - Otto was a bit surprised when he didn't show any expression of sadness, but he saw a determination in him.

And his wish was granted. Some of his vital organs were replaced with cybernetic parts, and surgeries were performed on him to keep him aging slower than others. As his wish, he could last a hundred years to serve mankind. After the surgeries, Raven called himself Ravenblood, the blood at the end of the name represents many things, such as his ideals and his vow, also his hatred towards the enemy of Schicksal.

That was the story of Ravenblood… The lunatic.

Thought to be loyal to Otto forever. But his fate has already been sealed. His memories… His mind… Has been manipulated. He is now like a puppet in the mysterious man’s hands.

He was manipulated so badly that many parts of his story I just told you were changed by the man.

For the past 3 hours, portals opened, ships descended down to the Deep. The Honkai cultists had gathered here; they had more people than the Royal Blade legion. Of course, no one other than the man have gathered them here, but Ravenblood didn't give out any command to purge them, instead, he announced that they'll be working with the cultists.

"For years, we've been lied to. Mankind was blindfolded by our once trusted ruler. Horrible truths were hidden from us. Otto had used divinity powers from the old, forgotten era to use everyone as his pawns. I saw it. The truths. The horrible, the darkest, yet, the truest that mankind needed to embrace. As long as he's still there… We'll be erased from existence. Like everyone else. There's nothing such an exception for him. We knew the truth. We have to protect ourselves and free mankind… Once and for all. We have to strike first. We have to kill Otto."

The man's speech, in his name as "Kyle", former friend of their beloved Lord Commander, Ravenblood has motivated people to understand, and shakes hands with the Honkai cultists.

Of course, deciding to trust Honkai as what they really needed instead of an enemy really put some of the soldiers on the edge. They couldn't accept this thing that came outta nowhere. In fact, many in the Royal Blades thought so, besides from the manipulated ones, there were also these soldiers who were loyal to Ravenblood in the first place, not Otto Apocalypse or Schicksal, so wherever their master goes, they will surely follow.

Many remaining loyal soldiers to Schicksal immediately noticed what was wrong, and they tried to make contact to report back to HQ, but all were killed on the spot by the traitorous soldiers.

Just after a few hours of taking over the Deep, Royal Blades’ legion left the base and headed for the nearest Schicksal’s base. This act would not go unseen by the Anti-Entropy forces, who were sent to retrieve the base by force.

Right now, what’s more concerning for Schicksal would be the Royal Blades’ betrayal, yet to be revealed. And Ravenblood still has access and authority within the Schicksal’s ranks of command, if a civil war were to happen right now, it would be a devastating loss for either side.

Under a few more hours, Ravenblood has gathered many other regiments using his influence, and convinced them to join his cause. But then, once again, this act would not go unnoticed, as many commanders within the armies noticed this strange call to arms… But not to the commanders themselves. They sent reports back to the HQ, however, no one will be reading these, as the HQ is not functioning properly due to the lack of presence of the Overseer.

Back to Hyperion. Just right when the sun is up in the sky.

“I didn’t expect you to visit us in the middle of the night without any letter, Durandal.” - Himeko said, she was sitting on the couch in the Captain’s office with a few more girls, they were Durandal, Rita, Theresa and Marika - who is still following the Hyperion crew back to the HQ for repairs.

“Just in time we finished with a mission close by, I think it’d be a bit funny to give you a surprise.” - Durandal took a sip of tea.

“Thank you for helping us to deal with the intruder too.”

“Don’t mention it, I just happened to be close, you should thank the others for holding him on spot. I heard you achieved a great victory over the Queen of the Void…”

“Yeah. Now we can proudly go flex this to the others… Hahaha…” - Himeko chuckled.

“Hmm… I wondered how did you managed to win against that Herrscher…” - Durandal asked, she was serious.

"I don't know. But it seems like honkai beasts and cultists are raiding many of our bases… All across the continent. Hmm…" - Durandal said as she scrolled through the mission details. "....."

"If that's so, then we might need to arrange a few Valkyrie units in some areas."

"Leave that to me, our reinforcement fleet is still in a good shape." - Marika said.

"Something's wrong… all of these bases are either really far away or don't have a specific detail about the attackers." - Rita said.

"Brothers, for all these years we have been lied to… Now is the day we tear the lies down, and expose the truth to everyone." - Ravenblood said. "From now on… Call me Raven."

"My lord. Should we plan for the siege of the HQ?" - One of his commanders said.

"Yes. We need to plan this very carefully… The HQ's defense system ain't no joke. Although they have no idea on our plans, we can't bring everyone to the HQ… We'll need to take the defenses down, and then begin our attack."

And so they planned.

Meanwhile, Kolosten. It's been a day since Otto returned.

A farmer is returning to his home after a long day of working hard in the field. The sun is setting. On the way home, he saw a blonde guy carrying a block of hay walking the opposite direction. He immediately recognized the person.

“Ah, you’re the new guy who moved to this town just yesterday right?” - The farmer asked in a friendly way. “How are things going on for you?” Otto responded to him with a smile.

“It is good here, I like it here.”

“I see I see, there aren’t many young people in this town like you… They all left for the cities, so young people like you will be spoiled to death by us the elders, hahaha…”

“Hahaha… Well then, pardon me, I am going to head home.”

“Mmm, take care!”

The farmer walked past Otto and continued to head home.

On the way he saw another blonde man carrying a hay block. To his surprise, the man looked exactly like Otto, he was left speechless because of this.

Otto greeted him before walking past him.

And then, again, not long after that Otto walked past him, another Otto who was carrying stuff showed up.

He met a line of Ottos carrying things to their home - an abandoned church in the outskirts of the town.

"All right boys! Well done!" - Otto said to others Otto, they cheered because they just finished rebuilding the church, making it into a cozy place, suitable for living.

And yes… Lots of Ottos were there. What's worse than one Otto? Many Otto.

"Mmm it's done for today, tomorrow we'll go buy some furniture!"

"Yayy!!!!"

Night falls. All the Otto gathered inside the church for dinner. They are living a life like a normal human would… In a small town… Nothing too fancy.

Anyways, you might be wondering…

Why the hell am I in Kolosten, living like a normal person?

Welp, I retired. I don't want to be the Overseer any longer.

Welp, there's not much left for me to do there… Since, reviving Kallen is obviously impossible, and every time I let my ignorance take the lead, mankind suffer a fatal blow and I somehow got hated more.

So yeeeee. Besides, having assigned a great Captain to Hyperion basically ended my work, Herrscher of the Void was defeated so yeah.

I am fairly sure that even without me, Schicksal still can function normally, The Immortal Blades, Marika, Hyperion, and many others.. Although different units, but they will unite and defeat Honkai soon, such an old geezer like me staying with them will just hold them back with my ideals…

So I chose to go, leaving everything I have built. My wealth, my wine collection, my research,... All for the sake of mankind.

Oh I also hope Ravenblood will stop being a whining bitch about how Honkai infection doesn't have a cure and all normal people have to be killed.

But aside from that, I'm also very sure that he won't switch side, after all he's one of my loyal ser-"

"PING PONG MOTHERFUCKERS!! LET THE SIEGE BEGIN!!!!" - At the same time, Ravenblood gave the order to attack the Schicksal's HQ.

His men all chanted their war cry. Then they all grab their equipment and head to the carrier ships, leaving for the HQ.

Meanwhile... A giant army of mechs and robots are also advancing towards the Schicksal's HQ...
