"My lord, we have received a report from the Far East Branch, concerning Hyperion's current leader." - Amber enters the office, in which she sees a disappointed Otto who is sitting on his chair.

Otto let out a long sigh, he seemed to be annoyed and disappointed for whatever reason.

"Don't tell me it's about a resignation from him... Or he escaped while Hyperion was flying mid-air... Or even he got killed by accidentally going into the girls' changing room... Or he was stupid enough to put his head in the reactor core without being aware of the piston that goes down every 2 minutes... ORR he escaped from the ship.... Even WORSE! HE suicided?"

Otto asked, but what he said could be considered as complaints, a lot to be exact. Amber just shook her head and read the single line on the report.

"They reported that he died of Honkai infection after going into a skirmish mission without his protection suit on."

Otto seemed to be surprised.

"Fascinating..." - Otto wanted to cry, but he snapped back to reality. "Oh uhm- I mean that's sad, make sure to send some of our high commands to his funeral with utmost respect, also give him some awards, it's been a very long time since a Captain of Hyperion did not die of stupid reasons."

"I do not wish to overstep, my lord, but he died without his protection suit on, that sounds stupid."

"Basic protection against Honkai, and the infection's danger were taught in the training schools, they are the basics knowledge. I mean it would be fine if he died because the protection got ripped off or something, but this is... kinda stupid."

"Commander Ravenblood of the Royal Blades squad, as thick as that pile of paper of his is the rumors of how cruel the commander is, on the battlefield. There were reports saying that he killed civilians because they were tainted with Honkai infection."

"...right... you wouldn't let him board the Hyperion."

"Lunatics should stay in their own pool."

"A-Ranked Valkyrie, Marika, known for her elegant fight style on the battlefield, is described as an angel descended from the Heavens. However, she can't."

The crew members could be seen mourning for their deceased leader, while they are sober about it, a new mail has been transferred into their mailbox.

One of the Valkyries, who happened to be there, took the mail out and read the messages.

"Urgent, send nudes."

The mailbox pinged again, it seemed like it received another mail, the same Valkyrie read the next one.

"I mean nukes*"

"Oooohhhh... They need nukes."

Somewhere still on Earth, a small battle against Honkai is happening, only ordinary soldiers were deployed to fight against the beasts.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT YOU MISSPELLED TWICE? NOW THEY ARE SENDING A NUKE THIS WAY?"

"I am mostly at fault for this grammar error which is going to doom us all, sir. As an apology, I will sacrifice myself for my brothers on the battlefield so they can die a slightly less painful death."

"H- How are you going to do that exactly?"

"By throwing myself in front of a kill blow to one of my brothers from the beasts, that way I will die first, and the brother whom I protected won't experience the same pain as me."

"Sometimes I wonder how the hell you got qualified into the army BUT THAT'S NOT THE FUCKING PROBLEM!!! WE NEED TO RESEND THE MESSAGE, ASAP!!"

"Already did, sir." - Another soldier said. "Also I don't want to break this atmosphere but the enemy's at our doorstep."

"Ah shite. We might die before reinforcements even arrive... BUT WE DON'T GIVE UP!! FOLLOW ME, BROTHERS! TAKE ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN USE AS A WEAPON, WE SHALL DIE FOR HUMANITY'S ANOTHER DAY OF SURVIVAL!" - The Commander of this small army yelled, encouraging his men, and raising their morale again.

"He's right, let's go!"

They rushed out to the battlefields, right after their commander, armed with a small sword and a pistol. They are weak, compared to those beasts in size and destructive power. However, they are stronger in number.

"Hold your lines, rangers!! Aim and shoot at whatever is hostile to us!" - The commander yelled as he fired his pistol upon the horrifying beasts.

The longer the fight went on, the more loss for these soldiers, as they kept running out of ammo.

"Shit!" - The commander ran out of ammo, he threw his pistol to the honkai beast instead.

And it killed the beast.

He then ran down and grabbed another pistol from one of the dead soldiers, after that, he go behind the lines of soldiers, and get up to the high ground.

"... Aye... This is the end... I hate to admit it but... I'm a coward... I don't have the balls to die like my men..." - He said as he put the pistol pointing to his head. He takes the shot, but misses it. "Wat."

He kills another beast with it instead, and surprisingly enough, it was the enemy's commander, now these beasts broke their formations and fought in their own way, which created weaknesses for human soldiers to use against themselves.

".... wat-"

Not being able to adapt to the situation he himself just created yet, he already heard the cheers of his men down below, cheering as they were able to push the enemy back and reclaim their supplies.

"REINFORCEMENTSSSS"

The Hyperion also arrived, the Valkyries then proceeded to eradicate all the remaining beasts. However, the glory still belonged to these human soldiers, who has killed the head of these beasts.

"Commander! That was an amazing shot! Not only you were the only one to discover the position of their leader, but you also hit its weakest spot!"

"Thank goodness that we have you as our commander from the beginning! We would have died off on the battlefield long ago if you didn't choose our unit!"

"........." - The Commander was still standing there, his soldiers thought he was enjoying the beautiful scenario after a long and hard battle. But in reality, he is panicking deep inside, he got lucky... Too lucky to be exact... It has happened many times before in his life.

The Commander's name is Y/n, he was just an ordinary person like any other.

Years ago, he applied to the military because he couldn't find a job, that's when his life slowly changed in a good way. 3 months after being qualified as a soldier, he was promoted to become a Captain of a small team after a great attribute of him in the War of the Wolves.

Where he accidentally killed some Wolves in the forests that were going to flank their supply routes, while in reality, he got startled because the bushes moved because of the rabbits.

And 5 years ago, while still being the Captain, his team was assigned to a mission in Africa, where they were supposed to hold a tactical position. He was said to have destroyed an underground hive of a great Honkai beast mother, whose eggs were about to hatch. In reality, he just lit a cigarette and a small spark of fire somehow made their way through that one small air hole of the hive and burned the eggs, from one to another, it spread out and destroyed the hive as well as the mother of the eggs.

Promotion after promotion, everytime he got sent to a mission against these beasts, he would get medals for his "brave acts".

Also the one time he got promoted to Commander of an entire army, was because of a mission in Russia. There were some people who worship Honkai and they kinda wanted to start a civil war against Schicksal so they aimed for him instead, unfortunately for them, he used himself as bait, pretended to retreat while in reality he drove them all to a frozen lake, unknown to the enemy and drowned them all.

"AH YES THERE WAS INDEED A FUCKING BEAST THAT HAS TO DIE BECAUSE OF MY EMPTY GUN!! AS IF THAT FUCKER HAD MAGNETS FOR LUNCH AND IT DRAWN MY GUN TOWARDS IT!! SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH MY LUCK...... AND WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE FOOLS WHO FOLLOWED ME ALL THE TIME... PRAISING MY ARSE FOR DOING THE MOST RANDOM THING IN A BATTLEFIELD??" - His conscience tells him.

"Excuse me, who's in charge of this regiment?" - One of the people from Hyperion came and asked the soldiers, of course, they all looked proudly at their Commander.

"Ah yes, I am Commander Y/n." - You walked towards them, they seemed to be afraid of you for no reason.

"Let me explain things from now on." - A young, white haired girl who looked like 12 years old said, then you noticed she was standing behind the person you were talking to.

Everyone except you, Theresa, and the people from Hyperion were surprised when they heard "Apocalypse", the family that is in charge of Schicksal.

"Why would the granddaughter of the Great Overseer himself come here?"

"Well, we received your signal calling for backups. Also we have just received this message from the HQ... My grandfather sent it himself, and it is about you."

"Here I go... Commander Y/n of the 3rd Division in the Western Branch will begin his service as the Captain of Hyperion the moment this message is transferred to him. Effective immediately."

All of your men gasped, and then they cheered for you, everyone looked happy except for you, because you didn't show any expression of being happy, Theresa changed her the way she looks at you.

"Captain Y/n... It seems that you know how tough this job will be... Heh, I'll be looking forward to working with you." - She gives her hand out to you.

"...Yes... It would... Be my honor to serve....."

"BLOODY FUCKING CHRIST WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY I THOUGHT SERVING ON THE BATTLEFIELD AGAINST THESE SMALL SWARMS OF THE BEASTS WAS ENOUGH NOW I HAD TO FIGHT THEM IN A BIGGER PACK IAHFIASUFHAUOHSA"

"Tell your grandfather that I humbly accept my promotion, and I will vow to give all I've got to my newest duty."

Your men clapped their hands for you, meanwhile, Otto was watching you through a screen in his office.

"Y/n L/n, was an ordinary human, yet he was proven to have something special... It was not only the highly advanced skills of a soldier that he has... Also not his genius mind when it comes to tactics and making decisions in the direst moments... It is something else, that I believe he will be able to resist the curse of Hyperion, and maybe become the Captain that serves the longest." - Otto said to Amber, who was in the office with him the whole time.

"I understood my lord... let us pray for his safety."
