Viktor stood over his laptop, took a look at the failed experiments with sparks flying out of the metal, then the cyborgs that were works of progress, they took the forms of Phichit, Otabek, Chris, Emil, and one far too young, Yurio. Walking over to the robots solemnly, he stared into cyan, glossy eyes, wondering if they all would truly be the same.

The one robot he paid attention to the most, was that of a young man, Yuuri Katsuki, his fiance, whom he wanted to get back.

O~~~~~~~~~~~~🔩~~~~~~~~~~~~~O

The platinum scientist was overlooking the monitors, making sure his experiment was going right, the first screen told him that the main body of the robot was almost done, bearing a 95%. Looking helplessly at the robot, he started to remember the times they had.

Flashes of a crimson table, wine glasses, plates, and themselves were prominent, sitting in chairs with their glasses raised, Yuuri dressed in a white suit, Viktor in black.

Another flash indicated a kiss, yet he couldn't see their faces, making his head hurt just a bit more.

Is that what he had done this for?

The memories wouldn't stop coming. He had seen Yuuri lying on his deathbed, him grabbing his hand gently, only saying 'I love you' before he slipped away.

He hated thinking about how depressed he had gotten before he figured out a solution.

The Russian wasn't able to eat, drink, or sleep for weeks. All he could think about, and emphasize in his mind was his love's death, how much he loved him.

He hated himself even more when he realized he was practicing medical science. He soon scrapped that and turned to experimentation. He knew it was a stretch, and that he possibly wouldn't even work.

But on a human?

Yes, if animal experimentation was legal, why isn't it the same with humans? Hell, the government's done it, why can't a citizen?

At that point, Viktor didn't care if human experimentation was illegal, he was getting his fiance back. He couldn't let go all of the memories. He couldn't give up the time they shared, nor the words they spoke, genuine and not.

He was so desperate, giving up on himself as a human, he wished he didn't have this weak body, one that would bleed at every cut. One that couldn't take the pain he inflicted onto it.

Before he knew it, he was turning on his machines, laying himself on the operating table, and closing his eyes.

He was going to turn himself into a machine.

He succeeded.

This was what brought him to where he was now, staring Yuuri in the eyes, his closed, seemingly dead eyes.

Then they opened, amber met the ocean, completing the building process, all he had to do know was see if everything was in order.

He led the robot back to his room, fixing it's arm again, the circuts pulsing blue as if nothing had ever been damaged, after he reattached the arm, he lowers a device onto his head.

It restores all of his memories. When they finish, Yuuri gets the same flashbacks as Viktor, pulling him into an embrace well needed and deserved.

Their privacy nor peace didn't last long as guards bust in, seizing the reunited couple at once. Viktor watched in shock as Yuuri was pulled away from him. A device was inserted into his neck.

"Shit." Was the only thought he could muster up.

"This robot is an illegal creation."

He turned to Viktor, his cold rone unwavering. "Seize it."

"NO!"

He broke from his grasp, grabbed his husband and darted back to the lab hand in hand. "I don't want to lose you again."

"Neither do I, Viktor."

He plants a kiss on his lips, the last contact they'd ever have. They held hands on the operation table until the machines started up, "I'll always love you, robot or not." The Russian starts.

"The same to you."

As blue gazed into brown, as they were being taken apart, their gazed never wavered until their heads were gone, until their bodies had been melted into a cyborg's heart.

(I hella got tired of writing the lyrics.)
